If you’re organising a festival, market, sports day or community event, the food vendors can make or break the day. Long queues and slow service leave people hungry and grumpy. Here’s what to look for in a food truck for a big event, and how Fritz’s Wieners can help.
What event organisers need from a food vendor
- Speed. Crowds arrive in waves, at half-time, between acts and at lunch. Our custom-built trailers are designed for high output with a small footprint, so the queue keeps moving.
- Experience. We have served at some of Australia’s biggest events since 2004, including the AFL Grand Final and Formula 1 in Melbourne, New Year’s Eve and Australia Day at the Sydney Opera House, and NRL, AFL and rugby games at stadiums across NSW and Queensland.
- Food people want. Our multi-award-winning German sausages are made from 100% Australian free range pork, are gluten free and are cooked over an open flame. They’re easy to eat while walking around.
- Room to grow. For larger crowds we can send more than one truck.

What to tell us when you enquire
- The event name, date and trading hours
- The location and where vendors will be set up
- Expected attendance and how many other food vendors you have
- Whether you’re booking catering (you pay for the food for your guests) or inviting vendors to trade (guests buy their own)
- Any site requirements, such as bump-in times or paperwork you need from vendors
Pricing
Catered events are quoted on guest numbers, location and timing, with a minimum spend of $1,200 Monday to Friday and $2,000 on Saturday and Sunday. Send us your event details for an exact quote.
